Blending of two eco-responsible yarns has a great potential in developing a sustainable product with the opportunity to respond to the environmental challenges that we are facing. Tencel is a sustainable fiber regenerated without any genetic manipulation from the cellulose of eucalyptus trees. As well as chemicals used to break down the wood pulp are recovered and recycled with minimal waste and very low emissions. Nanofibrils, that compose Tencel are hydrophilic, which guarantees good performance of moisture absorbing properties and remains strong while being in a wet or dry state. Hemp has a growing popularity and usefulness for green development as a sustainable fiber. Hemp is strong fiber, which offers the best ratio of heat capacity of all fibers, is a breathable and a biodegradable natural fiber. Blends of Tencel with natural fibers, for example hemp, is adaptive in practice and gives a visual patterning of the garment, low weight, breathability as well as smooth and soft touch.
